Audrey e Mathieu trouxeram a sua história para Portugal. Em Julho, casaram entre o granito, a luz, e a hospitalidade do norte.
Foi um casamento de destino no sentido mais inteiro da palavra. Audrey e Mathieu vivem em França, e escolheram Portugal não pela conveniência, mas pela memória que queriam construir. Pela arquitectura, pela paisagem, pela maneira como Portugal recebe quem chega de longe.
Tudo começou meses antes, com uma sessão íntima a dois numa praia do norte. O oceano a ouvir, antes da cerimónia que reuniria família e amigos vindos de França e de outras geografias.
Audrey and Mathieu brought their story to Portugal. In July, they married among the granite, the light and the hospitality of the north.
It was a destination wedding in the fullest sense of the word. Audrey and Mathieu live in France, and chose Portugal not for convenience, but for the memory they wanted to build. For the architecture, the landscape, the way Portugal receives those who come from afar.
It all began months before, with an intimate session for two on a beach in the north. The ocean listening, before the ceremony that would gather family and friends arriving from France and other geographies.

A Colunata é uma propriedade que se escreve em granito, azulejo e arcadas portuguesas. Trabalhar num lugar destes é não competir com ele. É deixar-se guiar pelas suas proporções, pela sua luz, pela calma das suas pedras.
O dia começou com a preparação da noiva nos aposentos do solar, e terminou de madrugada com a última taça brindada na pista. Pelo meio, atravessou-se um arco arquitectónico que pertence a outro século, e uma festa que pertence ao nosso.
Colunata is a property written in granite, azulejo and Portuguese arcades. To work in a place like this is not to compete with it. It is to let oneself be guided by its proportions, its light, the calm of its stone.
The day began with the bride's preparations in the manor's chambers, and ended at dawn with the last glass raised on the dance floor. In between, an architectural arch belonging to another century was crossed, and a celebration that belongs to ours.
A mesa do jantar foi pensada em tons creme e blush, com rosas inglesas, candeeiros suspensos e fairy lights que acendiam ao escurecer. O bar trazia padrões franceses em painéis discretos, cocktails desenhados ao detalhe, e o vale do Minho atrás de cada bebida.
Para cada convidado, deixou-se à saída uma pequena garrafa de Vinho do Porto, com fita de organza coral e a data inscrita em francês. Uma forma de levar o lugar consigo, sem palavras a explicar.
The dinner table was composed in cream and blush, with English roses, suspended pendants and fairy lights that came on as it grew dark. The bar carried French patterns on discreet panels, cocktails drawn down to the detail, and the Minho valley behind every drink.
For each guest, a small bottle of Port wine was left on departure, tied with coral organza ribbon and the date inscribed in French. A way to take the place with them, without words to explain.

A festa abriu com a entrada dos noivos sob um tecto inteiro de fairy lights, atravessado por dezenas de bolas espelhadas. Convidados que vieram de longe e ficaram até de manhã. Família francesa, família portuguesa, todas as línguas da pista de dança.
The celebration opened with the couple's entrance beneath an entire ceiling of fairy lights, crossed by dozens of mirror balls. Guests who came from far and stayed until morning. French family, Portuguese family, every language on the dance floor.
Num casamento de destino, a equipa torna-se ponte. Entre línguas, entre famílias, entre o protocolo francês e a generosidade portuguesa. O microauricular acompanha o vestido, o ramo, o brinde. Tudo a horas, tudo invisível.
In a destination wedding, the team becomes a bridge. Between languages, between families, between French protocol and Portuguese generosity. The earpiece follows the dress, the bouquet, the toast. Everything on time, everything invisible.
Para alguns convidados, foi a primeira vez em Portugal. Vinte e quatro horas depois, ainda falavam da luz.
For some guests, it was the first time in Portugal. Twenty-four hours later, they were still speaking of the light.
